There are a few things to keep in mind when choosing Vinyl Siding

  Standard colours (lighter) are always

less expensive than darker ones

You're more likely to find stock available in

the standard colours, as well.

Not all colours are available in all sizes

Manufacturers feature certain sizes in stock

but what might be a stock size for one is

a  custom order size for another.

One box of siding typically has a coverage

of 200 sq. ft., no matter what size the pieces are

What changes is the number of pieces per box:

For d4 (8" high) there are 24 pcs/ box while

d4.5 (9" high) have 22 pcs/ box and d5 (10" high) have 20 pcs/ box. But they all cover 200 s.f.

There are also Style variations; the two most common of those being Dutch Lap or Bevel

Again, not all colours come in all Styles.
